About the role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data infrastructure efforts at Voice.ai. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems that support our voice tech solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing voice data from various sources.
• Data Warehousing: Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to store and organize structured and unstructured voice data.
• ETL Processes: Develop and optimize ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting the work of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Data Governance: Implement data governance practices, security measures, and access controls to ensure data privacy and compliance.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, and product managers to translate business requirements into effective data engineering solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines and processes for efficiency and scalability, ensuring smooth operations.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of data engineering processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Who we are looking for

• Proven experience as a data engineer, with a strong track record in data pipeline development and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in data engineering technologies, including ETL tools, database systems, and data processing frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
